the sids & cyd
sid caesar & sid corman & sid cantor
were eating together
in sid’s (cantor’s) deli on Fairfax in L.A.
all 3 flirting with cyd silverman, the waitress
eying her lustfully around their
corn beef sandwiches on rye
& draft beers, when sid jonson, a short poem
writer & admirer & devotee of sid corman (another short poem writer)
spotted sid sitting with the other sids & cyd standing
“hey, aren’t you sid corman?”
sid jonson yelled as he walked toward
the table of sids and cyd standing
sid corman rolled his eyes and muttered
under his breath “ shit, must be another idiot
short poem writer”
sid caesar heard what sid had muttered & said loud enough
so, sid jonson could hear,
“yeah, i have the same problem with joke writers”
